NEP 2020 Aligned — Learning for Life, Leadership & Purpose
At St. Peter's High School, we follow the NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Frameworks (NCF FS & SE) to ensure that learning is joyful, engaging and relevant. Our academic programme is carefully designed around the new 5+3+3+4 structure:
Foundational Stage (5 years)
(Nursery, PP I, PP II, Class I & II)
Focus:
- Play-based, multi-sensory learning
- Early literacy and numeracy readiness
- Storytelling, songs, rhymes, pretend play
- Foundational values, health, wellness & habits
Visual: Children in theme-based activity corners, story circle, puppet shows.
Preparatory Stage (3 years)
(Classes III – V)
Focus:
- Discovery-based, activity-centered learning
- Strong basics in languages, Math, Environmental Studies
- Art integration, craft, music, movement
- Emphasis on reading culture & curiosity
Visual: Kids doing group experiments, art & craft, reading in Book Nook.
Middle Stage (3 years)
(Classes VI – VIII)
Focus:
- Conceptual understanding across subjects
- Introduction to abstract concepts in Science & Math
- Coding, Design Thinking, project-based learning
- Clubs, sports, performing arts for holistic growth
Visual: Students coding, STEM club activities, theatre practice, sports action.
Secondary Stage (4 years)
(Classes IX – XII)
Focus:
- Multidisciplinary approach with elective flexibility
- Deeper learning, research skills, career exploration
- Stream choices: Science, Commerce, Humanities
- Competency-building for Board Exams, entrance tests & future pathways
Visual: Senior students in labs, group discussions, career guidance session.
